Sherpur Govt. College offers Degree (Pass) Courses, Honours Courses, and Master’s Final Courses on 29-30 subjects under the National University.

Short History of Sherpur Govt. College

Sherpur was then a sub-divisional town in the lap of the Garo Hills. Though culturally a bit developed, the rate of literacy of this small town was less than that of any other town in the country. With a view to uplifting the educationally backward rural population living in abject poverty, the then-conscious section of the society felt a tremendous urge to establish a college at Sherpur, a name glorified with the name of Sher Ali Gazi, the great saint. Under the dynamic leadership of the elite of Sherpur and the selfless sacrifice of all classes of people, the long-cherished Sherpur college came into being in 1964. The new college started functioning temporarily at G.K. Pilot High School and was shifted to the present campus located at the heart of the town. In 1980 the college was nationalized giving it financial solvency. The college, the leading seat of learning in the region, has been maintaining high academic standards since its beginning. Initially, only Intermediate and Degree (Pass) courses were introduced but now it is fully flourished with fourteen honours departments and four of them have masters courses also. The college with its excellent academic performance has been contributing greatly to the socio-economic development of the country..

Sherpur Govt. College, Dhaka invites applications for admission to honours programs of the college under the National University. 

Step 01: Go to Honours 1st Year Admission

Step 02: Then Click on Apply Now Button.

Step 03: In the next step give your SSC and HSC Equivalent Information. (One Student Can not apply double or triple time after the submitted final application. So please decide carefully.)

Step 04: In the next step give your SSC and HSC Equivalent Information.

Step 05: After being given all the information click on next.

Step 06: In the next step select Division Mymensingh, District Sherpur and then select College: Sherpur Govt. College. After choosing a college, you can see the subject list with the seat. Select your subject by choice list. After selecting subjects click on next.

Step 06: If you have a quota then select Yes and give the information about your quota. If you have no quota then select No and Click on Next.

Step 07: In the next step you have to attach your photo. After selecting the photo click on next. (width= 120 px and Height= 150 px and photo maximum size must be under 50 KB). Then give your mobile number in the mobile number box. You will get all the information about your admission.

Step 08: After selecting the photo click on the Preview Application. See your all information if all the information ok then click on Submit Application Button. 

Step 09: You are almost done. After final submission, they will provide you with an applicant copy. Print the applicant copy and then submit this copy to your selected college (Sherpur Govt. College) authority with 250 Taka.
